good smoke flavor but tooo strong; no problem, blend down : sprinkle some on top of already been brewing Argentine yerba OR by using 12.5% of it with a less smoky chimarrão, or the only smokeless chimarrão: Yacuy Organic Erva-Mate Verde [all Yacuy yerbas/ervas are smokeless the company told me via my email enquiry.]
If you’re thinking about going down the path of traditional preparation of Yerba Mate and Guyausa, this is a decent first Bombilla. Fine stainless construction, and works adequately for only $10. One caveat, depending on how finely cut the loose leaf tea is, there is some smaller leaves that can still make it past the strainer, which I personally don’t mind.
